Rainbow

O Rainbow Divine,
Ladder to the heavens,
I climb one color at a time -

On sad days, I climb the deep, dark purple;
On glad days, the bright Orange flow -

On days of task with friend or foe,
I climb the Yellow glow ---

Serene days are Green days,
Each tree reflecting your Emerald glaze ...

I haven't forgotten your heavenly Blue -
Like Madonna, in light and shimmering hue;
Darker, as we enter the evening 'Blue Hour'

I can't see you now, Rainbow
But I feel your power;
Given to each and every man -
To climb God's Bridge,
Your Rainbow Span .....
